General rules:

In Draughts, two players face one another across the gameboard with dark and light pieces respectively. Turns are alternated, with players unable to manipulate their opponent's pieces directly. A move involves shifting a piece diagonally into an adjacent unoccupied space, potentially capturing an adversary's piece by jumping over it if the subsequent square is empty.

Only the dark squares are utilized for movement across the board. Mandatory or optional captures of opponents' pieces depend on the chosen regulations. Players unable to move due to blockades or running out of pieces are defeated.
